Turn an AI email draft into something you would actually send

Nobody reads a padded email as friendly. They read it as a form letter, which is what a model produces by default.

underslop edits an AI email draft into a note that reads like a person wrote it in two minutes. It cuts the padded opener, the empty enthusiasm, and the sign-off boilerplate a model leaves in, then hands back a plain version you can send. Your ask, your dates, and your names stay exactly as you wrote them. Paste up to 500 words and set the sliders toward a steady, plainspoken register.

Before and after

A generic AI draft on the left, the same content edited clean on the right. The after is written in The Steady Hand (RCOAN): dated, tidy, finished in three sentences instead of nine.

Before · generic AI draft

I hope this email finds you well! I wanted to reach out and touch base regarding our upcoming project. It's not just important, it's absolutely critical that we align on next steps moving forward. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

After · edited

Quick one on the project. I need the copy for the landing page by Thursday so design can start Friday. If that date is tight, tell me today and I will move the review. Everything else is on track. Thanks.

Why this genre gets flagged

Email is the genre where the padding costs you the most, because the reader is skimming for the ask. The edit finds the ask, dates it, and drops the rest, so a note that took a model 90 words says the same thing in 40 and reads like you meant it.

Questions

Can it keep a warm tone?

Yes. Move the agreeable slider up and the edit keeps the warmth but grounds it in specifics, like a real thank-you for a real thing, instead of a generic pleasantry.

Does it handle a cold outreach email?

It edits the draft you paste. For cold outreach it strips the fake rapport and leaves the one concrete reason you are writing, which is the only part a stranger reads anyway.

Voiced editing is in beta and can drift from your facts, so it flags anything it tried to add. The free tier caps at 500 words a run, and your text is held for 0 seconds.
